Polypropylene PP Meltblown Nonwoven Production Line Fabric Extrusion
1. Application of melt blown cloth
(1) Melt blown cloth is the core material of masks. Medical masks and N95 masks are composed of three layers, namely spunbond layer, meltblown layer and spunbond layer. The spunbond layer and meltblown layer are made of polypropylene (PP) materials, but the production process is different. The production machines used are also different. GWELL company mainly manufactures the melt blown cloth production equipment.
(2) Other applications of meltblown cloth: medical and health cloths, such as surgical gowns, protective clothing, disinfection wraps, masks, diapers, sanitary napkins, etc. Industrial cloths, such as filter materials, insulating materials, industrial wipes, cement packaging bags, geotextiles, covering cloths, etc.
2. Meltblown cloth production process
Prepare the raw materials, then feed the raw materials into the extruder for melting. The melt material goes through the screen changer and metering. The melt is sprayed from the spinneret to the forming belt to form as the melt blown cloth. The melt blown cloth is processed by the electrical electret treatment device, and then cut and wound.
3. Advantages of Gwell Mechanical Meltblown Nonwoven Production Line
(1) Adopt special coat hanger type and gas equalizing type spinning die with independent intellectual property rights, and the melt distribution is even.
(2) The air nozzle has stable air pressure, symmetrical air flow on both sides, and uniform air flow in the width direction.

The raw material of the mask is polypropylene (PP). The medical surgical mask is generally multi-layer structure, commonly referred to as SMS structure, as shown in Figure 1 and Figure 2.
The S in the mask layer stands for spunbonded fiber, with a coarse fiber diameter of about 20 microns (nm). The two layers of spunbonded fiber mainly support the whole non-woven fabric structure, and have no obvious effect on the barrier performance. The most important layer inside the mask is the barrier layer or melt-blown layer (M). The fibers in the meltblown layer are relatively thin, about 2 microns (M) in diameter, and thus only one-tenth the diameter of the spunbond layer, which is essential to keep bacteria and blood out of the layer.
The fibers of the spun adhesive layer, the meltblown layer, and the shape of the hair are compared. As shown in the figure, 1/3 of the diameter of the hair is close to the fibers of the spun adhesive layer, and 1/3 of the diameter of the hair is close to the fibers of the meltblown layer
